About Scrape Construction

Tools and materials scattered on a workbench, including a ruler and storage boxes.

I'm Zack Scrape

The owner and carpenter behind the company.

My career began at Somerset County Vocational & Technical High School, where I studied carpentry and graduated as valedictorian.

I went on to complete a formal carpentry apprenticeship and build my career as a journeyman carpenter at Princeton University.

The Foundation.

That experience gave me a strong foundation in fine carpentry, cabinetmaking, renovations, repairs, and the careful planning required to produce lasting work.

I founded Scrape Construction because I wanted to bring that same standard of craftsmanship directly to homeowners.

Services

I believe good work involves more than making something look beautiful.

It means understanding how it should be built, communicating honestly, protecting the client’s home, paying attention to details that may never be seen, and taking personal responsibility for the finished result.

Because Scrape Construction is owner-operated, clients work directly with me throughout their project—from the first conversation and written proposal to the work itself and final walkthrough.

I intentionally remain closely involved so that every project receives the attention it deserves.

Whether I’m building custom cabinetry, renovating a room, installing detailed trim, or solving a difficult repair, my goal is the same:

to provide thoughtful solutions, dependable service, and craftsmanship that clients can feel confident recommending to their friends and family.

Built Right. Detail Driven.
